Falls Friends talks are information sessions to explore the potential causes of falls and give advice on medication, vision impairment, trip hazards, hydration and how to minimise these falls risks to enable people to continue to live healthy and independent lives.

We have a number of trained volunteer Falls Champions who are happy to deliver a Falls Friends talk to any local group. The sessions last up to one hour (but can be shortened) and are suitable for people concerned about family members or friends, or their own risk of falling.

If your community group would like a free talk on how to prevent falls please get in touch chime.carlin@nhs.net

Are you interested in becoming a Falls Champion?

Champions receive half a day’s training, as well as all the resources they need to deliver the talks. If you would like to become a Falls Friends Champion we will be running the next 3-hour training course in December, please email chime.carlin@nhs.net
