Your Big Health Conversation – GP Services Survey

Locally the way in which you can access some of your GP services is changing with the introduction of:

  • Integrated Primary Care Access Service
  • Same Day Access Services
  • GP provided phlebotomy tests (blood taking)
  • Online access (eConsult)
  • Online appointment booking
  • Online prescription requests
  • Long term condition clinics
  • Care navigators.

Fareham and Gosport Clinical Commissioning Group and Southern Hampshire Primary Care Alliance would welcome hearing your thoughts on these services as they may make changes to how and where they services based on what local people say.

Test Results

We only receive test results for tests performed or organised by the surgery. Tests performed in hospital are not automatically sent to the practice.

Please contact the surgery between 10:00 – 16:00 to obtain the test results when the surgery is a little quieter and can deal with the request. Please note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results themselves. When the results are returned to the practice the doctors review the results and attach comments.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if you are advised to do so.

Cervical Smear Results

The report can take up to 10 weeks to be processed. Routine smear results will be posted directly to you. If you do not receive them by 10 weeks please telephone the surgery for confirmation of the result.
